Here to continue my post about Taiwan Trip

On the day4 (3/11/2012) we had breakfast buffet at the hotel in the morning

We decided to pay a visit to the popular tourist spot, 九份老街

We hired a private cab for a Taipei county day tour.The journey would take about an hour.

Ours plan was to Yin Yang Hai 陰陽海 - > 黄金瀑布 Gold Waterfall - > Ecological Park 金瓜石

- > Jiufen 九份老街 - > Yeliu Geopark 野柳地质公园

View of Seaside on the way to Jiufen,the color of the sea is very Beautiful.

After that,on our way we stopped at 黃金瀑布 which was quite nice because of the colour though it is polluted.Also this waterfall contains some minerals that turn the water and the ground near the waterfall a bit yellow

Next to the 金瓜石 Gold Ecological Park

In the Gold Ecological Park one can see the mining history of this area.They also show some old Japanese-style buildings.

Next station up to JiuFen Old Street,finally we're here!

This is further up in the mountains and there is a famous market with lots of little stores.

The town has many shops selling handicrafts and traditional food

JiuFen is a beautiful place, I don't know how to describe, but it is a place that you can easily fall in love with. Love the vintage shops and the unique traditional food they have there too!

Another unique dessert found only in Jiufen, taro balls in sweet soup (阿柑姨芋圓 Ah Gan Yee Taro Balls)

Must Try! Its really nice ! They're so generous with the taro, sweet potato and glutinous rice balls

Apart from good food, there's also good view in Jiufen.

Jiufen’s scenery of mountain and sea coast from Jishan Street is truly very beautiful and unique.

A very peaceful calm area, Jiufen is a good day trip place to visit

Last station 野柳地質之園 Yehliu Geopark

45 minutes of private cab, we're finally at our destination

The highlights of the Geopark would be the amazing naturally formed rocks and landscapes

The Queen's Head 女王头 behind of us,we need to queue in order take photo with it

It is actually similar to the Mushroom Rocks but due to Mother Nature’s impact, it became the shape it is today, resembling the head of a Queen

There are actually many more of such rock formations but we did not have much time to spend more.I did hear of some interesting ones with the name, Ice Cream Rock, Elephant Rock, Peanut Rock, Lion’s Head Stone, King Kong Stone amongst many others.

Thanks for the drivers are friendly as well especially once they know we are not local.This friendly drivers usually share the best places to eat or best places to visit in Taipei & Taiwan, which they are quite proud of, mentioned in a very genuine & sincere manner.We're really happy to meet him
